Running is a sense of feeling free, it’s like being a “kid” all over again.
Since retiring I have completely stopped all participation in professional sport, but the passion and love that I have for sport is still going strong. The feeling to “earns one shower” never gets to old !!!
After lacing up my shoes on almost a daily basis , the urge to push the boundaries, to raise the bar, and to bury oneself is like an automatic button being pushed. With the combination of endorphins being released (A MUST) and the comfort and support of HOKA, running is just THE BEST. Sometimes the HIGH I get from a smooth feeling run is like when a child rides a bike solo for the first time - a grin from ear to ear.
I will always be an athlete of some sort... running is fun, running is fast, running is part of our family and running is free!!!! You just lace up your shoes and head out the door, putting one foot in front of the other.
I love to show our daughter the satisfaction you can get from having fun from sport. Penelope see’s Armando and I having a daily routine. For kids this is important to see. To get outside and breath the fresh air.... the sense of freedom never gets old. We don’t push her to do sports but she does sometimes tell us “just go, go for your run, I will join you one day soon!”
I have also found another passion which I absolutely LOVE, it is training mums and taking Bootcamp style exercise classes. We have a fantastic location and I take them for workouts lasting only 30 mins, they enjoy every second of it. They love it, I love it and they seem to find this extra motivation to dig deep which they didn’t know they had. Great music, great location and great exercises equals happy and strong mums!!!
So from this blurb you can see running and sport will always be a part of my life. I love to do sports, I love to watch sports and I love to motivate others.... not everyone has to do the marathon, Remember the saying .... it’s quality not quantity!!!!
